Arsenal youngster has been impressing out on loan.
Birmingham's official website report that Toral won two awards this week from junior fans - who selected him as the club's player of the season, and picking his superb volley against Brighton as the club's goal of the season.
Toral, 21, is unlikely to be back at Birmingham next season unless the Championship side can mount a late play-off push and earn promotion to the Premier League.
The Spaniard will want to test himself in the top flight after two seasons on loan in England's second tier, spending the year at Brentford last season.
He has seven goals and four assists for Birmingham this season in 34 appearances, and the time has come for him to try and follow Alex Iwobi in making the step up from Arsenal's under-21s to the first team as the Nigerian has done this season.
Toral signed from Barcelona's academy along with Hector Bellerin, but injury delayed his progress, leaving him playing catch-up with his fellow Spaniard. The signs are good that he may have a chance of making it too.
