Dele Alli has called on Tottenham's England contingent to replicate their international form during their upcoming Premier League title run-in.

Eric Dier, Harry Kane, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose were all involved for England during the international break, staking their claim for a place at the European Championships in June.

However, Alli says the focus has switched back to the Premier League title, with Spurs facing a decisive seven-game run as they look to overturn a five-point gap between themselves and surprise leaders Leicester City.

And with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea all awaiting Mauricio Pochettino's men over the next few weeks, Alli knows Spurs will have to be in top form if they are to claim a first league title since 1961.

He told the club's official website: “There are only a few games left until the end of the season and it’s important now that we perform well again at Tottenham and we take how we played with England back to the club."

The 19-year-old has attracted plenty of plaudits after some sparkling performances for club and country this season, but he insists his Spurs team-mates, and Pochettino, deserve credit for helping him force his way into England boss Roy Hodgson's plans.

“It’s always great to play for your country and to do it with these lads makes it even better,” he added.

“It’s a big credit to Mauricio and the whole club.”

The positivity of the win in Berlin was slightly dented by a defeat to the Netherlands at Wembley on Tuesday - a game that saw Alli's Dutch team-mate Michel Vorm called up to the bench of Danny Blind's team.

But Alli insists there are no hard feelings between the two players, adding they are both focused on the task at hand at White Hart Lane.

“It was great for Michel to get called up as well. He’s a great goalkeeper and a great guy."
