Tottenham youngster Josh Onomah makes it two goals in two games for England U19s

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is in great form right now.

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Josh Onomah has been in impressive form during the international break for England’s under-19 side.

Just days after scoring one and setting up the other in a 2-1 victory against Georgia, the 18-year-old again found the net, this time against Spain in their winners-takes-all European Championship qualifying match.

Onomah has had a superb season to date, featuring 18 times for Tottenham including seven times in the Premier League, seven times in Europe and four times in the FA Cup.

The vast majority of Onomah’s appearances have come from the substitutes’ bench but take nothing away from a player who has seized his opportunity and could be the next breakout star at White Hart Lane, following in the footsteps of the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

Tottenham have some of the most exciting young players in the country coming through the ranks right now and it will be interesting to see what next season has in store for Onomah with a few new additions likely to sign for Spurs in due course.

Onomah’s opening goal was ultimately added to by Newcastle United forward Adam Armstrong as England’s next generation ran out comfortable 2-0 winners in a vital clash.
