Leeds could welcome Chris Wood back this weekend.
Chris Wood could start for Leeds United this weekend for the first time in 2016, report the Morley Observer.
Wood has struggled with injuries over the past few months, and has only made a handful of appearances since the turn of the year.
He made his return in the recent win against Blackburn, playing five minutes off the bench, and played 18 minutes of the 4-1 loss to Huddersfield.
He was not involved for New Zealand over the international break, and is in contention to start this weekend's match away to Rotherham United.
One of Souleymane Doukara and player of the month nominee Mirco Antenucci are expected to make way to accommodate Wood into the team.
Wood cost Leeds £3 million to sign from Leicester in the summer, but his recent fitness struggles have slowed the progress he was making in repaying that fee.
So far he has eight goals in 24 starts for Leeds this season, and will want to at least ensure he reaches double figures as quickly as possible.
