Kante has been one of many success stories for Leicester City this season during their title challenge.
Kante has been an integral part of the Foxes midfield season as Leicester have improbably mounted a challenge for the Premier League title - where they currently have a five-point cushion over nearest rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the title race.
When asked about his future by Sky Sports News, his reply seemed a little non-committal, saying: "I will fight for Leicester this season and next season we never know and we will see.
"At this moment I am focused on Leicester. We have to finish well this season but I don't mind about [being linked with] the other clubs."
It could probably be a case that he truly he is focused on trying to help deliver a first Premier League title at the King Power Stadium, but it will do nothing to dampen down any speculation over the 25-year-old's future, who is one of a number of players who have been linked with interest from elsewhere during the course of this season given the huge success he has been for the club.
It will be interesting to keep track of Kante's future in the summer, especially in light of comments made last week that he doesn't mind being linked with other clubs, but that isn't entirely different from what he said last week where he doesn't pay attention to rumours.
It didn't stop questions about his future cropping up again, however.
