Ian Wright wishes Everton defender John Stones was working with these two managers

Everton defender John Stones' form has dipped recently.

Ian Wright has taken to Twitter to suggest that he wishes that Everton defender John Stones was playing under Harry Redknapp or Glenn Hoddle.

Stones had a remarkable breakthrough season last year, when he became a key part of Everton’s and England’s defences.

However, his form this term has been slightly erratic, and he has dropped out of favour at Goodison Park recently.

Stones has had to watch from the sidelines, as Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has picked other plays ahead of him.

Wright feels that Stones is low on confidence at the moment, and he has suggested that the youngster’s development may be better off under a different type of manager.

Stones’ performance for England against Holland yesterday has received a great amount of criticism.

The 21-year-old was partly at fault for the first goal that England conceded, as Roy Hodgson’s side slipped to a 2-1 defeat.

England had taken the lead through Jamie Vardy, but goals from Vincent Janssen and Luciano Narsingh denied them the victory.
