Report: Liverpool to pay big to sign Ter Stegen from Barcelona

Manchester City are also reportedly interested in the Germany goalkeeper.

Liverpool and Manchester City are willing to pay big money to sign Andre Ter Stegen from Barcelona this summer, reports Sport.

The German goalkeeper has found game time hard to come by at the Nou Camp since joining in 2014, with just four appearances in La Liga to his name so far.

He has had to content himself with appearing in the cups and Champions League, with Claudio Bravo being Luis Enrique’s number one.

Already there are rumours that he could seek an exit from the reigning La Liga champions in the summer, and the Premier League duo are willing to pay big to make him theirs.

According to Sport, both are willing to pay more than €20million for him, over £15million, while they will also both offer to double his current wages.

The player is aware of both offers and is considering them, with his agent thought to have talked to the Catalan giants on several occasions.

Barca are not keen to sell though, and if they must, they want at least the €80million release clause he currently has in his contract, around £62million before they will consider a sale.
