Report: Everton ready to fight to keep hold of Romelu Lukaku

Everton are apparently willing to reject offers of up to £50 million for Romelu Lukaku.

According to the Daily Mirror, Everton are ready to reject offers of £50 million for Romelu Lukaku in the summer transfer window.

Lukaku has spoken of his desire to play Champions League football next term in the past week, leading to speculation rising over the 22-year-old’s future.

Manchester United and Chelsea are both reportedly interested in Lukaku (Mirror), while Real Madrid have also been linked in The Sun.

However, Everton are not willing to lose their star man without a fight and intend to reject mega money offers to try and keep him at Goodison Park.

The Toffees are under no pressure to raise funds, as they have recently received new investment from Farhad Moshiri.

And the Mirror claim that Everton will be looking to sit down with Lukaku in the coming weeks to try and offer him a new deal, which will keep him on Merseyside.

Lukaku has scored 25 times for Everton this season, making him the club’s top scorer by a considerable margin.
