Nottingham Forest fans are delighted that Britt Assombalonga is close to making his return to action.
Assombalonga has been out for over a year, after he picked up a knee injury back in February 2015.
However, the 23-year-old has taken a major step forward in his recovery by playing for the Reds’ under-21 side earlier this afternoon.
Assombalonga started up front for Forest’s development side, and he showed that he hadn’t lost his goalscoring prowess.
Assombalonga scored Forest's second goal in a 3-2 defeat against the Tigers, and he also set up Liam Adams for the first.
It was a bright display from the former Peterborough United man, and his return will be a major boost for Forest.
The Midlands side have badly missed Assombalonga’s goals this season. The ex-Watford trainee scored 15 goals in 27 Championship appearances last term, and they have not had such a potent striker in their ranks this time around.
Forest fans are understandably excited to see Assombalonga back in action, and they have sent messages on social media site Twitter to encourage him on his route back to full fitness.
