Newcastle have a goalkeeping crisis ahead of their weekend clash against Norwich.
Newcastle United's season has gone from bad to worse with the news goalkeeper Rob Elliott was stretchered off in an international friendly with a knee injury.
Elliott lasted just 14 minutes of the Republic of Ireland's game with Slovakia, going down in pain after conceding an opening goal.

The news is desperate for Newcastle United, who are currently in 19th position in the Premier League with nine games left to play.
This weekend they have a big game against Norwich City, who they are hoping to catch and haul further into the relegation mire.
Elliott's injury casts a shadow over their preparations, with Tim Krul already ruled out for the season with a knee injury of his own.
Next in line to start is Karl Darlow, formerly of Nottingham Forest, who made a costly error in December when given an opportunity in the Premier League.
Newcastle fans are not feeling good about Elliott's injury, and are particularly worried about how they will replace him. Here is a look at the reaction on Twitter...
Rob Elliott stretchered off in a friendly! Sums up our season! #NUFC— Liam Kettle (@LiamKettle1) March 29, 2016
Imagine thinking in August that an injury to Rob Elliott would cause an #NUFC meltdown. Been our best player by a distance. Devastating— Skeems (@Skeems1) March 29, 2016
If Elliott is crocked it's bad news. Would be very far adrift without him this year. #nufc— Jamie (@thejamieherd) March 29, 2016
Any decent free transfer keepers available?? Cant see Darlow or Woodman saving us from relegation??! #NUFC— Kristoph (@therealkrist) March 29, 2016
Norwich will be shooting on sight with Karl Darlow playing. Without Rob Elliot this season we would already be down with Villa #NUFC— Dan McMahon ⚡ (@DanMcmahonF1) March 29, 2016
#NUFC better play woodman I wouldn't trust darlow to hold on to a piece of a paper let alone a footy— Andrew Wells (@wellzy1995) March 29, 2016
