England lost 2-1 at home to Netherlands this evening.
England came crashing back down to earth with a bump this evening, losing 2-1 at home to Danny Blind's Netherlands side just days after beating Germany.
The Three Lions came from 2-0 down to beat Germany 3-2 on Saturday evening, and fans were in buoyant mood for tonight's clash at Wembley Stadium.
A beautifully crafted goal involving Adam Lallana and Kyle Walker ended with Jamie Vardy putting England in front from close range, but that was as good as it got for England.
A Vincent Janssen penalty and a goal from Luciano Narsingh gave Netherlands the win as England boss Roy Hodgson rotated his starting line-up.
One player who did keep his place from the win over Germany was left back Danny Rose, but he gave away the penalty for Janssen's equaliser with a debatable handball, whilst he was lucky not to have conceded a spot kick earlier in the game having seemingly tripped Quincy Promes inside the area.
Still, the Tottenham star looks to have booked his place on the plane to France for the European Championships this summer, and could even be England's first-choice left back ahead of players like Ryan Bertrand and Leighton Baines.
During the game, former Spurs ace Micky Hazard took to Twitter to give his view on Rose's display, suggesting that Rose has guaranteed his place in Hodgson's 23-man squad for Euro 2016 despite giving away that second half penalty.
Well played Danny Rose, surely must have booked your place to the Euros— Micky Hazard (@1MickyHazard) March 29, 2016
Do you think Rose has guaranteed his place in the England squad this summer?
