Attacking pair Graziano Pelle and Sadio Mane have scored a combined total of five goals in the club's last two Premier League matches, having gone 12 and 11 league games, respectively, without one.
However, based on previous form, the pair would be punching above their weight in the eyes of Le Tissier.
Asked if Pelle and Mane could be on their way out of St. Mary's this summer, the former attacking midfielder told TalkSPORT's Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on Tuesday: "It all depends on kind of form they show between now and the end of the season.
"Based on their form between October and March, Carlisle or Exeter might have taken them!
"They went right off the boil for a few months, but have been back on it these last few games.
"Hopefully they’ll keep scoring, but hopefully they’ll stay."
Pelle has scored 28 goals in 75 appearances since arriving on the South Coast from Feyenoord two summer ago, but is out of contract in 15 months' time.
Mane has managed nine fewer goals than his teammate, though mostly from a deeper position, having made 68 outings for the Saints.
