If Carlsberg did Testimonials - How Hammers players past and present reacted to Noble's big day

West Ham United captain Mark Noble had a Testimonial to remember - with everyone seemingly in agreement.

Upton Park attracted a full house of Hammers fans who braved Storm Katie to see a West Ham XI take on an All-Stars XI in Mark Noble's Testimonial on Easter Monday.

The game ended in a 6-5 win for the team in claret - although the proceeding penalty shoot-out was tied at 7-7 - which comprised a mixture of first-team regulars, youth teamers and others, such as Noble's old friend Robert Hatton, who saved no fewer than three spot-kicks.

Noble himself was on the scoresheet from open play - as was goalkeeper Adrian, bizarrely - before Dean Ashton inadvertently stole his old teammate's thunder with two goals, one a superb scissor-kick, for an All-Stars side featuring a who's who of Hammers legends.

Ashton, Jack Collison, Ludek Miklosko, Julian Dicks and, of course, Paolo Di Canio were all notable appearance makers, with plenty more where they came from.

Afterwards those on Twitter paid homage to the long-serving Hammers captain, as well as the fans and the day itself - which Noble concluded could not have gone any better.

Here's the best of the reaction so far:
