Ian Wright backs Zlatan Ibrahimovic to move to West Ham United

West Ham United have been linked with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in recent months.

Ian Wright has told The Sun Goals Podcast that if West Ham United sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer then he could revolutionise the club.

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has confirmed the club’s interest in the Swedish international during an interview with TalkSPORT yesterday.

And Wright believes that Ibrahimovic would thrive at the Olympic Stadium, if he did complete a switch.

"Zlatan could go to the club like West Ham and revolutionise it with that blast like Di Canio gave them," the Arsenal legend said.

"With Payet and the other players around him, a player like Zlatan could blast West Ham to the next level. He could even attract other players.

"West Ham are in London, they’re moving to the Olympic Stadium and if they are challenging for the top four they will be an attractive club to go to.

"Could you imagine the younger players being able to see someone like Zlatan at the club? It’d be better for him to go to West Ham than any of the top four."

Ibrahimovic’s contract at Paris Saint Germain is coming to an end in the summer, and he has confirmed that he will not be staying on with the Ligue 1 side.

The 34-year-old has also suggested that he would like a move to the Premier League (Sky Sports), which offers West Ham hope of attracting the high profile striker.

Ibrahimovic has scored freely throughout his career, and his arrival at West Ham would outline the club’s ambitions.

The Hammers have expressed a desire to start consistently challenging for a top four spot.

If West Ham do make a move for Ibrahimovic in the summer, they may face competition though, as the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea are also linked in the Daily Star
