Australia ran out comfortable winners in their World Cup qualifying match against Jordan this week, with Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic impressing for the Socceroos.
The 23-year-old scored Australia’s fourth goal of the contest, with Tim Cahill netting a brace and Aaron Mooy and Massimo Luongo also getting in on the action, ensuring Jordan’s late goal was a mere consolation.
Rogic had to wait patiently for his chance to impress at Celtic, with injuries also playing their part. However this season he has become an integral member of Ronny Deila’s squad, scoring eight goals and providing five assists in 31 appearances to date.
A wonder-goal against Kilmarnock last time out ensured he headed out on international duty with confidence high and his performance against Jordan had fans purring on social media.
Rogic’s current Celtic contract expires in the summer of 2017 and the Bhoys will be desperate to tie him down to a new long-term deal sooner rather than later. But for now the player will be focused on doing his best for club and country.

Very solid showing from Aus. Kruse the absolute standout. Rogic and Mooy combination also looks great. In Ange we trust. #AUSvJOR— The Roar Review (@RoarReview) March 29, 2016

I love me some Massimo Luongo. But damn Tommy Rogic looks good in that number 10 position for the Socceroos.— Tim @ Beermovie.net (@beer_movie) March 29, 2016
