The Scotland Under-19 side will face their Bulgarian counterparts in Croatia in the final game of their Euro Elite Round today.
Burke, who is just 18 years of age and plays as a winger, and Tierney, who is also 18 and is a left-back, will not feature.
That’s because the teenage duo have been promoted to the senior Scotland side who will take on Denmark in a friendly international tomorrow.
Young talent Iacovitti, who is part of the Scotland Under-19 team, is impressed with the progress made by Burke and Tierney, and has spoken highly of his fellow Scots.
"Oli’s a great player,” the Forest Under-21 captain told Herald Scotland. “Everyone who has played alongside him would say that.
“He’s had a good run of games at Forest, done well and scored a few goals. He’s someone who has taken his chance. He’s flying at the moment.”
“Oli and Kieran are great players, but I’m not sure we can say that they alone would have made all the difference or changed the game,” added Iacovitti while discussing the 3-0 defeat suffered by the young Scots against Croatia last week.
Forest are 15th in the Championship table at the moment with 46 points from 38 matches.
Meanwhile, Celtic currently find themselves at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with 69 points from 30 matches, four points clear of second-placed Aberdeen with a game in hand.
