The striker scored his first international goal in the 3-2 win over Germany.

Leicester City defender Liam Moore has congratulated Jamie Vardy on Twitter following his first goal for England.

The Foxes forward has been in sensation form this season, scoring 19 goals in all competitions and challenging for the Premier League golden boot.

His form has earned him an England call up, with him looking likely to be a part of the squad for Euro 2016 this summer.

He made a big claim on Saturday night as scored his side’s second goal in the 3-2 win over Germany, beating Manuel Neuer at his near post with an exquisite back heel finish.

That was his first England goal, and his Leicester City teammate was keen to praise him on Twitter following the game.

Vardy will now be hoping that his performances can earn him a starting spot for the Three Lions in France this summer.

There is certainly a call for England to go with a 4-4-2 formation, with the win over Germany showing it is a system that suits the current international crop of players.

Vardy in particular was impressive alongside Harry Kane, and it will have certainly given manager Roy Hodgson much to contemplate.
