Fulham striker Moussa Dembele appears set to leave the club in the summer as his contract runs down.
The teenager has struck 12 goals for the Championship side this season and has attracted interest from Premier League sides, almost signing for Tottenham in January, undergoing a medical before talks between the two clubs broke down, SkySports reported.
As a young, powerful striker who has already adjusted to English football, there is a lot to like about Dembele, but the Frenchman would be better off choosing Tottenham ahead of Liverpool.
This is not just due to Tottenham's earlier interest, but the potential opportunities he would have at the club as opposed to Liverpool.
Yes at Tottenham the Frenchman would have to unseat Harry Kane, but with Spurs set to fight on multiple fronts next season once again, Dembele will get his opportunities to shine.
At Liverpool the situation is less clear. Daniel Sturridge is likely to remain as first choice - when fit - while Divock Origi and a fit again Danny Ings will add to the competition.
Christian Benteke could be sold, but it is hard to see Jurgen Klopp not signing an established striker in his place, even if they sign Dembele as well.
All of this could leave the Fulham man battling for opportunities and also sent out on loan, and while Liverpool could be a good club for him long-term, next season he would have more success at Tottenham.
