The latest betting update when it comes to England's starting line-up in the summer.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said in a press release: "It looks a safe bet Wayne Rooney will line up alongside Kane despite Jamie Vardy's debut goal in Berlin. Despite netting the match winner, Dier's starting berth still looks uncertain."
Tottenham players odds to start for England against Russia in Euro 2016:
1/8 - Kane
1/3 - Dele Alli
5/6 - Dier
1/1 - Danny Rose
5/4 - Kyle Walker
The one factor perhaps holding Dier back is Roy Hodgson's seemingly blind faith in Jack Wilshere.
The Arsenal midfielder has been injured for most of the season and could yet start ahead of the Spurs man in holding midfield for Hodgson.
That's where the real downfall of the England boss could be. He has done well in the build-up but his actual tournament management was a disaster at the World Cup - just as Fabio Capello's was despite a comfortable qualifying record.
Right now, though, Hodgson is doing all the right things and the country is rightly getting behind the team. The England boss's use of Tottenham players at the moment is spot on.
