Hull City boss Steve Bruce has been linked with Aston Villa.
According to The Sun, Hull City boss Steve Bruce is contemplating leaving the club this summer.
The report claims that the former Sunderland manager is still upset at missing out on Andre Gray last summer due to financial restraints, with Burnley profiting from his arrival at Turf Moor.
Hull tend to dominate their encounters, yet a lack of a true goal-scorer has been their downfall all season and the club’s decision not to buy Championship top-scorer Gray still reportedly angers Bruce.
Hull’s loss has been Burnley’s gain, with the Clarets looking set for an immediate return to the top flight.
As illustrated in the report, Bruce has been linked with a move to Premier League strugglers Aston Villa and his situation at the KC Stadium could see him walk out this summer, even if the club are promoted.
It remains to be seen whether current Villa boss Remi Garde will stay at Villa Park after their likely relegation, but should the Frenchman go then Bruce has been lined up as his ideal replacement.
The former Manchester United defender led Hull to promotion in 2012/13 season and a FA Cup final in 2014, but the Humberside club only lasted two seasons in the top flight before returning to the Championship.
