The German star has been linked with a move to Anfield in recent months.

Bayern Munich are increasingly worried that Mario Gotze has set his heart on reuniting with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, report the Mirror.

The Reds have strongly been linked with a move for the German star in recent months as Klopp looks to change up his squad at Anfield in the summer.

Gotze has largely failed to impress at the Allianz Arena since joining from Borussia Dortmund back in 2013. Falling out of favour with manager Pep Guardiola has been the biggest problem, whilst a series of injuries have not helped his cause.

And he is now eyeing a reunion with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool in the summer according to the Mirror.

Gotze enjoyed his best years under Klopp at Dortmund and is keen to rekindle that working relationship at Anfield and get his career back on track.

He would be more than welcomed at the club as well, although his asking price may be something of a deterrent.

The German champions are sure to want to recoup much of the £30million they paid for his services, which may put him out of the Reds grasp as they also need to strengthen elsewhere ahead of next season.
