Swansea City are looking at making some changes this summer.
The report claims that Swansea owner Huw Jenkins will try to persuade Rodgers to re-join the club this summer, granting him permission to sign former players such as Liverpool’s Joe Allen.
Rodgers has been out of work since receiving his marching orders from the Reds earlier in the campaign.
The Northern Irishman has spoken of his intentions to return to management, yet only when the right offer comes along -with Swansea hoping they can tempt him back to South Wales.
The report goes on to say that Rodgers and Jenkins have been in contact for weeks, and the duo are to meet up during Swansea’s next home match against Chelsea after the international break.
The former Reading boss remains a popular figure at Swansea having led the club to the top-flight, and Jenkins is said to be tempting him back by giving him licence to buy former players this summer.
One of those potential deals includes Joe Allen, a player who also featured for the Swans during their promotion from the Championship and ensuing mid-table finish in the Premier League under Rodgers.
Rodgers signed Allen for Liverpool, but he has since fallen out of favour under Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, meaning a summer deal could be possible.
