Pundits react to Dele Alli's England display, including Ian Wright and Spurs legends

England beat Germany 3-2 on Saturday night, with Tottenham's Dele Alli playing a key role.

England produced a stunning fightback to beat Germany 3-2 in Berlin on Saturday evening, having gone 2-0 down in their international friendly.

The Three Lions fell 2-0 behind as goals from Toni Kroos and Mario Gomez put the world champions ahead and coasting to victory, before Roy Hodgson's side mounted a remarkable fightback.

Spurs striker Harry Kane turned inside the box and found the bottom corner, Jamie Vardy scored a superb backheel from a Nathaniel Clyne cross and, in the dying stages of the contest, Eric Dier thumped home a header to win the game for England.

Tottenham stars Kane and Dier were the heroes, but their team-mate Dele Alli once again proved why he is so highly rated with yet another outstanding display.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who has taken the Premier League the storm, terrorised the Germany defence throughout, and whilst his game was blotted by a comical miss with the goal gaping from close range, it did little to take away from Alli's performance.

During and after the game, pundits took to Twitter to discuss Alli's performance, with Ian Wright claiming that the midfielder was 'awesome' against Germany.

Unsurprising, a host of Spurs legends also praised Alli, with Ossie Ardiles, Graham Roberts and Micky Hazard all raving about his display - with comparisons to Paul Gascoigne even being made.
