Ex-Tottenham midfielder says star player’s not as good as his Liverpool counterpart

Defence - Spurs v Chelsea

Rohan Ricketts says that Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is better than Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.

Rohan Ricketts has claimed on social networking site Twitter that Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is better than Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.

The former Tottenham attacking midfielder has suggested that Sturridge should be ahead of the Spurs striker in the England pecking order when fully fit.

Kane is the striker on better form at the moment and is also more reliable in terms of fitness.

Sturridge has not played much this campaign and he struggled with fitness issues last season as well.

The Liverpool striker is very talented and has more experience than Kane, but for England to build a team in the coming years, head coach Roy Hodgson cannot rely on him.

Kane is younger than Sturridge and offers more than goals, and it makes sense for Hodgson to put the 22-year-old Tottenham player ahead of the former Chelsea striker in the pecking order.

The Spurs star has scored 21 goals and created 37 chances in 31 Premier League matches for Tottenham so far this season.

Sturridge has scored four goals and created three chances in seven league games for Liverpool so far this campaign.
