Newcastle coach’s tweet gives an insight into team’s current mood

Newcastle United are fighting for survival in the Premier League at the moment.

Newcastle United goalkeeping coach Simon Smith has revealed on social networking site Twitter that Karl Darlow and Paul Woolston have been training hard.

Darlow, 25, and Woolston, 17, are part of the first team, and they were training this morning.

Smith’s message on Twitter suggests that the Newcastle players - at least the goalkeepers - are training hard and enjoying it.

With the Magpies fighting for survival in the Premier League at the moment, this will come as great news to the fans.

It shows that the players are positive and are doing their best in order to prepare themselves for upcoming matches.

Rafael Benitez’s side are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 25 points from 30 matches.

The Magpies are three points behind 17th-placed Norwich City and have a game in hand.

Newcastle will return to action next weekend when they take on fellow relegation candidates Norwich away from home at Carrow Road in the Premier League.
