Michael Ballack says he likes these Tottenham and Everton youngsters

The former Germany international rates Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City youngsters highly.

Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has revealed in The Times that he has been impressed with three young England players.

The former Germany international has praised Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling.

“I’m looking forward to watching England as I’ve been impressed by some of their young players in the Barclays Premier League this season,” Ballack wrote in The Times ahead of today’s friendly international friendly match between Germany and England.

“I like Ross Barkley — he’s box to box and powerful — while Harry Kane has a great nose for a chance and is a fantastic finisher. I also like Raheem Sterling.”

Ross Barkley

Barkley is one of the more promising young attacking midfielders in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old England international has scored eight goals and created 46 chances in 29 league games for Everton so far this season.

Harry Kane

Kane is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and has been in superb form so far this season.

The striker has scored 21 goals and created 37 chances in 31 league matches for Tottenham.

Raheem Sterling

Sterling is 21 years of age and can play as a winger, an attacking midfielder or a striker.

The Manchester City youngster has scored six goals and created 35 chances in 28 Premier League matches.

The former Liverpool man has not been at his best this campaign, but he is a player with huge potential.
