Leicester star Marc Albrighton still refusing to start dreaming about Foxes winning Premier League title

Claudio Ranieri's men are five points clear at the top of the table.

Marc Albrighton has insisted that Leicester City are still refusing to think that they are on the verge of securing the Premier League title this season, the Daily Star reports.

With seven games to go, the Foxes are five points clear of Tottenham while Arsenal and Manchester City are just about keeping themselves in the race. But while Claudio Ranieri's men boast a commanding position in the table, Albrighton pointed out how quickly things can change during the business end of the campaign, as Leicester's players know all too well.

"We know what is being said but we've seen a lot happen in that final period," he told the Star.

"Look at us last season. Who would have thought we would stay in the league?

"I'm sure a lot of people would have said we were going down and look at the turnaround we made.

"We have got to keep our feet on the ground. It is the old cliche but it's true. It's kept us in good stead so far so why change now?"

While the former Aston Villa winger is determined to ensure that the team does not get carried away with their current position, their recent form would suggest that they have more than enough quality to get across the line.

In their last nine games, Leicester have only dropped points on two occasions, winning seven of those games, and getting fixtures against the Gunners and Manuel Pellegrini's men out of the way.

And if they are able to repeat that kind of form in their remaining games, it will not matter what runs the three sides still hoping to ruin their fairytale go on as they would have done enough to secure the title.
