Wales national football team head coach Chris Coleman has been quoted as saying by FAWales’ official Twitter page that Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies is available for selection.
The Dragons will take on Ukraine in a friendly international away from home at the NSK Olympiyskiy Stadium in Kiev on Monday evening.
Coleman has revealed that 22-year-old defender Davies has recovered from his head injury and could feature against Ukraine next week.
Chris Coleman: "Ben (Davies) is in my plans and he's available. He trained well today with the group. It's nice to have Ben back." #UKRWAL— FAWales (@FAWales) March 26, 2016
Coleman’s comments will come as good news to Tottenham fans, as they suggest that Davies will be available for Premier League action next weekend.
The Wales international left-back has not played regularly for Spurs so far this season, but he remains an important player for the North London outfit.
Head coach Mauricio Pochettino has rotated Davies and Danny Rose at regular intervals, and one suspects that the Argentine will continue his policy for the rest of the season.
In 15 Premier League appearances for Spurs this campaign, Davies has created 14 chances, has a pass accuracy of 75% and a shot accuracy of 33%, and has won 22 headers, five dribbles and 18 tackles.
