Alan Curbishley has a theory behind 28-year-old West Ham star’s success

Alan Curbishley speaks highly of West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble.

Former West Ham United manager Alan Curbishley has revealed on the club’s official website why Mark Noble has been at the top for so long.

Noble has been on the books of West Ham his entire professional career so far and is also the club captain.

The 28-year-old central midfielder is a figure of consistency and is one of the most underrated players in the Premier League.

Curbishley worked with Noble between 2006 and 2008, and he believes that hard work is the main reason behind the Englishman’s success.

“The reason Mark has been around at the top for so long is that he wakes up every morning and realises how lucky he is to be a footballer,” Curbishley wrote on West Ham’s official website.

“He appreciates everything that goes with it and tries his hardest at everything. Whenever I see West Ham play now, he’s at the heart and soul of everything that goes on.”

Noble is not a great player, but he is someone who gets the job done and is very consistent in his performances.

The Englishman has scored three goals and created 39 chances in 29 Premier League appearances so far this season.

The West Ham midfielder has a pass accuracy of 86% and a shot accuracy of 37%, and has won 14 headers, 20 dribbles and 54 tackles.

Slaven Bilic’s side are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 50 points from 30 matches.
