The Queens Park Rangers striker took to Twitter on Friday afternoon.
The 24-year-old is not on duty with the German national team - maybe in the future - and so he welcomed his parents to London for a sightseeing visit during his break.
Polter has made a good start to life at QPR and could well play a crucial part in any promotion bid the R's undergo next season.
Some critics questioned the forward during his first few months at Loftus Road but, of late, Polter has made a real impression among fans.

Many QPR fans are hoping for a play-off push this term, of course, with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink sending encouraging vibes about the club's ambitions for the run-in this season.
However, next campaign looks a more realistic bet for the west London side, who appear to finally be finding some stability.
