According to The Sun, Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge is a £50 million target for Paris Saint-Germain.
The report claims that the French giants are on the lookout for a new striker with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract expiring and Edinson Cavani linked away, and Sturridge is at the top of their wish-list.
The England international has recently come back in to the Liverpool side following a lengthy spell on the side-lines with fitness issues dating back to the start of last season.
A number of supporters at Anfield were growing tired of Sturridge’s absence, yet two goals in his last three starts illustrates exactly what he is about and the ability he possesses in the final third.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is seemingly a big fan of the 26-year-old, yet he could face a battle in keeping hold of him this summer should PSG press ahead with their reported interest.
The Ligue 1 champions have become one of the best teams in Europe over the past two seasons, showing their mettle by eliminating Chelsea from the Champions League in consecutive campaigns.
With Ibrahimovic set to leave and Cavani linked with the Premier League, PSG will have a big void to fill and The Sun claim that Sturridge is the potential replacement they have their eye on.
The report goes on to say that the former Chelsea striker is considering his future on Merseyside, and a delegation from the French capital has been sent to London to watch him on international duty.
