Report: Leicester City's Danny Drinkwater will start against Holland

Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater is reportedly expected to start for England against Holland on Tuesday.

According to the Daily Mirror, Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater is set to start for England against Holland at Wembley next Tuesday.

Drinkwater has been called up to the Three Lions squad for the first time for their friendlies against Germany and Holland in the coming week.

It is expected that the central midfielder will be left on the bench on Saturday, when England take on Germany in Berlin.

However, Drinkwater is expected to start against Holland on Tuesday, as Roy Hodgson wants to take a closer look at the 26-year-old.

Drinkwater has been in wonderful form for Leicester this season, with his form being a major reason behind Claudio Ranieri’s title push.

The combative midfielder’s partnership with N’Golo Kante in the centre of the pitch has set to tone for their Leicester teammates.

Drinkwater has made 31 appearances this term, scoring on two occasions.

The former Manchester United trainee will now be looking to show what he can do on the international stage, as he aims to break into Hodgson’s Three Lions squad for EURO 2016.
