The 23-year-old could be at West Ham United until the year 2022 following his lengthy extension.

Manuel Lanzini has told West Ham United's official website that Hammers fans have not yet seen the best of him, after committing his long-term future to the East London club.

The 23-year-old put pen to paper on a four-year deal - with the option of a further two years - following an excellent campaign with the club, having initially joined on a season-long loan from Al Jazira last summer.

The Argentine, who has netted five goals in 16 Premier League starts - including his stunner in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Chelsea - has certainly played his part in West Ham's brilliant season , but the diminutive attacker says that there is plenty more to come from him.

“Both Slaven Bilic and the whole coaching team showed a lot of confidence in me and invested a lot of belief in me and I’m now showing that and demonstrating why I was given the chance to play," he said to the Irons' official website.

“Obviously there is more to come from me. I’m just 23-years-old, I’ve got a lot to learn and I hope to keep giving 100 per cent here for West Ham.”

The news of his extension comes about six weeks after Dimitri Payet, another star of their season, also committed his long-term future to the club, signing an extension until 2021 following his summer move from Marseille.

It is an exciting time to be a West Ham fan and, with the Hammers chasing Champions League qualification and FA Cup success this season, their future seems very bright.
