Liverpool striker linked with surprise PSG transfer.
Liverpool could have a big decision to make in the summer amid reports Paris-Saint Germain want to sign Daniel Sturridge.
The instant reaction is that Sturridge is Liverpool's best striker and the Reds should reject any approach, but with The Mail claiming that the French champions are willing to offer £45 million for the England international, the club's best move is less clear cut.
Sturridge has suffered badly with injury problems over the last two seasons, barely featuring during Brendan Rodgers' last 15 months in charge, and the first three months under Jurgen Klopp.
He has recently come back into the XI, but the question on everybody's lips is, 'for how long?'
£45 million would be a huge fee for Liverpool to receive, and with Christian Benteke's future uncertain too, it would give boss Jurgen Klopp plenty of options in the transfer market.
This season he has five goals in 12 appearances in all competitions.
Here is a look at how Liverpool fans have reacted to his display...
I wouldn't sell Sturridge as I think he's our best player. But I'll trust Klopp on this, he needs to do things his way & what he feels best.— LFC4LIFE (@LFC4LIFENET) March 24, 2016
imagine, PSG offered £45m for Sturridge, Spurs £25m for Henderson, and West Ham £20m for Benteke. imagine what Klopp buys with an extra £90m— $hitebag (@shitebag_) March 24, 2016
Wouldn't sell Sturridge. But if we did, think the money would be spent much wiser than in previous years.— Eathen.. (@Eathen_1892) March 24, 2016
As much as I love Daniel sturridge, if we seriously got offered 50 MILLION POUNDS for him then we have to snap their hand off, way too good— kallan (@ArcticDonkey) March 24, 2016
£45m for Sturridge? I'll drive him to Paris in an ambulance myself. #LFC— Michael Meadows (@mike_meadows) March 24, 2016
Yeah lets sell Sturridge and then go 'full Liverpool' and get Shane Long or 45 mil for Arnautovic to replace him #TheLiverpoolWay— Ashley (@TweetsBy_Ash) March 24, 2016
Any Liverpool fan who wouldn't take 45m for sturridge is mad. He still looks half fit and scared to sprint— Andy (@AndyTheRed83) March 24, 2016
Probably regret saying this, but I'd take £50 million for Sturridge, given his injury woes.— Ryan Blackett (@Ryan_Blackett) March 24, 2016
