Havard Nordtveit's switch to West Ham appears increasingly likely.

Borussia Moenchengladbach appear resigned to losing midfielder Havard Nordtveit at the end of the season, and have been stepping up their own transfer activity.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic told SkySports last week at his pre-match press conference that Nordtveit is indeed a target for the Hammers, but played down their chances.

He said: "Many clubs are interested in Nordtveit and monitoring the situation. We are also interested in him."

German newspaper BILD however report a deal is already done. In an article published in their newspaper yesterday they proclaimed the Hammers will sign Nordtveit in seven games time, when the Bundesliga season comes to an end.

Nordtveit's contract expires in June and he will become a free agent, and is expected to take Alex Song's place at West Ham.

BILD report Gladbach have already signed a successor for former Arsenal academy prospect Nordtveit, who can play in midfield or defence.

Tobias Strobl is reported to have signed a four-year deal at Borussia Moenchengladbach, leaving Hoffenheim, and will replace Nordtveit, BILD claim.
