Forest fans delight at Tyler Walker's exit, suggest there could be more to loan than meets the eye

Nottingham Forest have today allowed Tyler Walker to join Burton Albion on loan.

It's a move which seems to have pleased the majority of fans on Twitter, although many believe there could be more to the deal than meets the eye.

Burton, who lead League One by seven points heading into the final nine games of the season - having won on at least four more occasions than anyone else, are of course managed by Nigel Clough.

Clough, like Walker, was a Forest striker himself once, and has been heavily linked with a return to the City Ground as manager.

Forest sacked Dougie Freedman 11 days ago, placing Paul Williams in charge until the summer.

And the deal for Walker, son of Clough's former Forest teammate Des, has raised further suspicion that the ex-Derby County boss could follow in his own father's footsteps by taking the Tricky Trees' post.

Clough scored 130 goals in 402 appearances for Forest over the course of nine seasons and is likely to find the job hard to resist should it be offered by owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi, who according to the Nottingham Post, is keen to make a foreign appointment.
