Daniel Pudil raves about Sheffield Wednesday teammate Barry Bannan

Barry Bannan and Daniel Pudil have both made 33 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday this season.

Daniel Pudil has told the Sheffield Star that he feels he has a very good connection with Sheffield Wednesday teammate Barry Bannan.

The pair have often linked up down the left-hand side of the pitch for the Owls this season.

And Pudil says that he believes the 26-year-old fully deserves his inclusion in the Scotland squad for their upcoming friendlies.

“He’s a good player and he’s deservedly back in the national team," Pudil said.

“He’s a really important player in our team.

“Most of the games he has played in front of me on the left wing.

“He’s a really good player and I feel we have a good connection on the pitch.”

Bannan has been one of Wednesday’s key players this season, and his fine form was rewarded with a call-up to his national team.

Bannan has struggled to earn appearances for Scotland recently, but he is enjoying one of his best campaigns in professional football at the moment.

The skilful midfielder has played 33 times for Wednesday this season, scoring on one occasion.

Pudil has also made 33 appearances for the Owls this term, and he has previously spoken of his desire to extend his stay at Hillsborough.

The Czech Republic international is currently on loan from Watford, but his move could be made permanent in the summer.
