Reports have emerged suggesting that Leeds United could be on the verge of sacking Steve Evans
Doukara has been resurgent under Evans’ guidance so far, with his first-team chances greatly increasing.
The 24-year-old appeared to have fallen out of contention while Uwe Rosler was in charge, but Evans’ appointment has given him a new lease of life.
Doukara has looked relatively impressive in recent weeks, and he has now scored five times in 27 appearances this season.
Evans has already confirmed that he intends to utilise Bailey Peacock-Farrell (Radio Leeds) in the first-team before the end of the season, however, if he does depart the youngster may have to wait longer to make his senior debut.
Peacock-Farrell has been excelling in the under-21’s all season, but he is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Whites.
Evans has always stuck by Wootton throughout his time at Elland Road, despite many supporters insisting that the former Manchester United man isn’t good enough.
Wootton has played regularly at right-back since Evans took charge, but under a new boss he will have to prove himself again.
