Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has made an encouraging start at Queens Park Rangers boss.
Onuoha feels that QPR have lacked a philosophy in recent times, but the centre-back believes that his side’s style of play is developing now.
Rangers have started to show signs of encouragement under Hasselbaink recently, with their results being very positive.
And Onuoha said: “I think we’re getting better with every week that passes. We’re gaining more of an identity now, in terms of our style of play. In years gone by, maybe we didn’t have that.
“But whoever is in the side plays the same way now, doing what."
Hasselbaink actually made a slow start at QPR, but he has helped the London club progress more recently.
QPR’s results at home have been particularly encouraging - as they have beaten some of the strongest teams in the Championship at Loftus Road.
QPR have dispatched with Birmingham City, Derby County and Brentford in their last three home matches - without conceding a goal.
The R’s also managed to pick up a positive point against Preston North End at Deepdale in their most recent outing.
QPR’s strong run of form has pushed them into the top half of the Championship table, with their next match coming against Middlesbrough after the international break.
