Kante sees future at Leicester

Leicester City

The energetic Frenchman has been a revelation for the Foxes this season.

N'Golo Kante has been one of the finds of the season. Claudio Ranieri plucked the combative midfielder from French Ligue 1 side Caen for around £5.6 million in the summer, and his performances this season have had a whole host of top clubs on red alert.

The Premier League's elite clubs really should be looking at how Leicester recruit their players. Kante, Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez were signed for the Foxes for a combined amount of roughly £7 million. They would arguably be worth 10 times that amount now.

After the Mirror reported that Kante was a target for both Juventus and Chelsea, he moved quickly to dispel the rumours, saying to Sky Sports:

"I'm only focused on Leicester. We have a season to finish, otherwise I haven't heard anything."

He then went on to say:

"As long as a club doesn't approach me directly, I don't pay too much attention to the rumours. The Premier League is a competition that suits me, which is perhaps more praise to myself."

It seems as though he is committed to Leicester at the moment, but it will be a different story if the likes of Juventus make a solid offer in the Summer.

With his inclusion in the French squad for their up-coming friendlies, Kante's value will only rise. Leicester fans will be hoping their club can keep the vultures at bay. They will need him more than ever as they prepare for an onslaught on Europe's premier competition next season.
