Tottenham prospect netted twice in England win.
Tottenham Hotspur duo Dele Alli and Eric Dier are set for starring roles for England at Euro 2016, and they could be joined in future years by another exciting midfield talent.
Marcus Edwards played a starring role for England's under-18 side last night, as they defeated Austria 3-2 away from home in a game played at the Wiener Neustadt.
Edwards, 17, was making just his second appearance for the under-18s, having made his debut in a win over Holland last year, providing an assist in a 2-0 victory.
He stepped up further last night, scoring twice in a 3-2 win, with Manchester City striker Lukas Nmecha scoring the winner late on after coming on as a substitute.
Edwards featured for England's under-17 side at the World Cup in their age group last year, and is an attacking midfielder who likes to play in similar position to Josh Onomah, who has recently progressed from Tottenham's academy to the first team.
The younger Edwards may turn out to be an even greater talent, and has recently stepped up to Tottenham's under-21 side.
This brace will be big for his confidence and he has a chance to add to it when England's under-18s host Republic of Ireland on Sunday.
