Wayne Hennessey confident Crystal Palace will manage to turn their season back around

Selhurst Park - Crystal Palace - 23/02/2014

Alan Pardew's men have slid right down the Premier League table since the turn of the year.

Wayne Hennessey has insisted that he is confident that Crystal Palace will be able to end their poor recent run and turn their season back around, the London Evening Standard reports.

Alan Pardew's men are without a win in their last 13 games in the Premier League - a run which began with a goalless draw with Bournemouth in December - and now find themselves just seven points above the bottom three. But the Welsh goalkeeper believes that the Eagles have more than enough quality to start showing the form that saw them make such an impressive start to the season.

"We know we are good enough," he told the London Evening Standard. "We have got players who can kill teams off but it is just not going for us. We have to keep our heads up."

Although their results in the league have not been strong enough, and may be enough to see them dragged into a relegation fight unless they manage to turn it around, they can take a tremendous amount of confidence from the way they have performed in the FA Cup.

Palace have beaten three sides that are currently situated in the top half of the league - including title contenders Tottenham - and reached the semi-final, where they will face Watford, after they overcame a potentially tricky tie away to Reading.

And even if they do not replicate that form straight away, the ability to win a sudden-death contest like a cup tie could prove crucial if they remain in the relegation picture on the final day of the season.
