The two Tottenham Hotspur teenagers are impressing at under-18 level.
Tottenham Hotspur’s under-18 coach Kieran McKenna has been speaking to the club’s official website about two teenagers who impressed in the 7-3 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend.
Tottenham have some of the most exciting young players in England coming through their ranks right now, with the likes of Marcus Edwards and Cameron Carter-Vickers tipped to become first-team stars of the future.
It seems not a week goes by when Spurs fan are told about another hot prospect, and now there are two more players to add to that list in the form of 17-year-old George Marsh and 16-year-old Tashan Oakley-Boothe.
The latter scored one goal and provided two assists in the emphatic under-18 victory, a feat even more impressive considering this was his first start for Tottenham at that level.
“I was pleased for Tashan,” McKenna told tottenhamhotspur.com. “We’ve got high expectations of him and he set himself a good standard today, but he’s got to kick on from here.”
Midfielder Marsh regularly earns the plaudits of his coaches and last weekend was no different.
“He really knitted the team together well on and off the ball and he took on the captaincy well, too,” the Tottenham coach added. “He’s a good character in the group so I’m pleased for him.”
Not all Tottenham’s young prospects will ultimately make it at White Hart Lane, but there is no doubt they are doing something right behind the scenes to develop so many talented teenagers.
