Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris misses France training session

Hugo Lloris sat out France's training session on Tuesday, as did Manchester City's Bacary Sagna.

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City stars sat out France's training session on Tuesday, report French newspaper Le Figaro.

France travel to Holland on Friday night for an international friendly, and are taking no chances with risking the fitness of their Premier League stars, with two reporting minor problems.

Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna missed the training session with a minor knee injury, while Le Figaro reported that Lloris was simply 'rested.'

Both players featured for their respective sides in games on Sunday afternoon, although Anthony Martial who did complete all 90 minutes for Manchester United was involved, as was Newcastle United's Mousa Sissoko, whose side drew with Sunderland on the same day.

Neither Spurs or City fans will want their players to return with an injury at this critical stage of the season, and at this stage it appears both were missing from the training session as a precaution.

If they continue to miss time over the course of the week then concern will grow, but this could lead to them missing the friendly game as a further measure to be on the safe side, and this will not be a bad thing from Tottenham or City's point of view.
