Sky Sports pundit says he’s convinced Leicester will slip up

Leicester City are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment.

Former Arsenal and Sunderland striker Niall Quinn has told Sky Sports that Leicester City will slip up in the Premier League title race this season.

Leicester are at the top of the league table at the moment with 66 points from 31 matches, five points clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

"You can be sure of one thing, they will go out and try and score goals,” Quinn told Sky Sports. “When they start to get picked off - if it happens - then we'll see what Ranieri has to do.

"He's just letting it flow at the moment, but when that one result goes wrong we'll know a lot more.”

"I'm just convinced that Leicester are going to hit some kind of banana skin,” added the former Republic of Ireland international. “I hope it doesn't happen and I'm with everybody else on that. I want Leicester to win the title.”

Like Quinn, there will be others who will continue to doubt Leicester’s title credentials.

True, there are reasons to suggest that the Foxes could stumble in the final weeks, but Claudio Ranieri’s side have proved time and time again this season that they can handle the situation.

Leicester have won their last three Premier League games 1-0, and that shows that they can keep it tight at the back and adapt their game.

It will be interesting to see how the Foxes cope if they go 1-0 down in a match, but the Leicester fans should remain optimistic.

Ranieri’s side will return to action at the start of next month when they take on Southampton at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League.
