Stoke City are enjoying yet another productive campaign.
It's been another superb season for Stoke City, who are on course to record their highest ever Premier League finish.
The likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Ibrahim Afellay and Giannelli Imbula have added glamour to the Potters' midfield and attack, while Marko Arnautovic has shown drastic improvement to lead the club's scoring charts.
However, the performances of those at the other end shouldn't be overlooked, and in the eyes of back-up goalkeeper Shay Given, it's a defensive player who should be crowned Stoke's player of the season.
Asked to comment on his fellow shot-stopper Jack Butland on TalkSPORT's Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on Tuesday, the Irishman said: "You hear things about him and how good he is, but you only find out when you're working with him day in day out how good a goalkeeper he is. Not only on the training pitch - he's brought that to the matchday.
"He's been fantastic - probably our player of the season, for me. He's just signed a new contract last week which is great for everybody at the club - apart from me probably 'cause I won't play!"
Butland has made more saves (103) than any other Premier League goalkeeper this season and has kept 10 clean sheets along the way.
The 23-year-old is expected to play in at least one of England's upcoming friendlies against Germany and the Netherlands, after Joe Hart suffered a calf injury during Manchester City's derby defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.
Fraser Forster and Tom Heaton are also vying for the Three Lions number 1 shirt.
