Report: Real Madrid plot huge bid for Romelu Lukaku, Martinez fancies part-exchange deal

Real Madrid are reportedly set to bid around £60m for Everton star Romelu Lukaku

According to The Sun, Real Madrid are ready to make a £60m bid for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, but manager Roberto Martinez is keen on a possible part-exchange deal.

Lukaku, 22, has been simply sensational this season, smashing 21 goals in 31 games in all competitions to cement himself as one of the Premier League's top strikers.

The Belgian international will be hoping to carry his goalscoring exploits into Euro 2016, in what promises to be a big summer on and off the field for the powerful forward.

Lukaku's stunning season in front of goal is bound to attract interest ahead of the summer transfer window, and The Sun claim that Real Madrid are ready to make a huge bid for him.

The report claims that the Spanish giants are ready to offer around £60m to try and land Lukaku, with Real ready to move on from French striker Karim Benzema and seek a major, big-name replacement this summer.

However, it's also suggested that, if Lukaku makes it clear to Everton that he wants to leave Goodison Park for the Spanish capital this summer, manager Roberto Martinez may not be totally sold on the £60m.

Instead, it's suggested that Martinez would be keen on landing a part-exchange deal, where one or more Real Madrid players would head to Merseyside as well as a hefty cash sum, handing Everton immediate strengthening in exchange for their star striker.

Do you think Lukaku will leave Everton this summer?
