Jamie Redknapp thinks Tottenham's trip to face Liverpool 'looks horrible'.
Pundit and former Spurs midfielder Jamie Redknapp has told the Daily Mail that he likes how opposing managers believe Tottenham are the best team in the Premier League.
Spurs beat Bournemouth 3-0 on Sunday afternoon, as Harry Kane bagged two goals in the first half before Christian Eriksen put the seal on the win with a second half tap-in.
The won took Tottenham back to within two points of league leaders Leicester City, with the two teams seemingly in a straight fight for the title, given that Arsenal and Manchester City appear to be too far behind now.
Spurs still have to make up a five-game deficit with only seven games left to play this season, and whilst that's a tough task for Mauricio Pochettino's men, it's far from impossible given their superb defence, energetic midfield and the deadly finishing of Kane.
Now, pundit Jamie Redknapp, who made 49 appearances for Tottenham as a midfielder, has told the Daily Mail that there is something he really likes about Spurs - the fact that a host of opposing managers have suggested that they are the best team they have seen in the Premier League this season.
Redknapp also highlighted one fixture which 'looks horrible' for Spurs as they chase the title - their next Premier League clash, against Liverpool. The Reds have blown hot and cold under Jurgen Klopp, and Redknapp suggested that Liverpool's upcoming Europa League games against Klopp's former club Borussia Dortmund - who swept Tottenham aside in the last round - could work in Spurs' favour.
"The thing I like about Tottenham is how many managers say they are the best team they have faced - that’s no coincidence," said Redknapp. "Their game against Liverpool looks horrible but that’s just before Jurgen Klopp heads back to Dortmund. It’s little things like that which may help," he added.
