Could Calvin Miller be the next Celtic teenager to break into Ronny Deila's first-team?

The Celtic attacker is a wonderful young talent with a bright future.

Celtic have some very exciting young players coming through the ranks right now and one who could make his first-team breakthrough sooner rather than later impressed for the Bhoys’ under-20 side this week.

While first-team player Scott Allan took the headlines with a goal and two assists in a 4-1 victory against Dundee United's second string, 18-year-old attacker Calvin Miller also had an afternoon to remember after putting in a scintillating performance.

Miller is a centre forward who is equally comfortable on either wing and if Celtic manager Ronny Deila was paying attention to the goings on at Lennoxtown he will know he has another potential gem in his ranks.

Miller scored the young Hoops’ third goal of the afternoon but on another day he could easily have grabbed a hat-trick were it not for some fine goalkeeping, while he set up chances for teammates time and again.

Celtic are currently scrapping with Aberdeen for the Scottish Premiership title and Deila is unlikely to take too many risks until another league trophy is secure. However, if that happens in due course it would be no surprise to see Miller given a run-out before the end of the current campaign.

His versatility, confidence on the ball and finishing ability mark him out as one to watch, if not this season then certainly soon.
