Allardyce deflated

Sunderland failed to win against Newcastle United in the Tyne-Wear derby on Sunday.

Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has taken to social networking site Twitter to thank the fans for their support on Sunday afternoon.

The Black Cats played out a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.

Jermain Defoe put Sunderland in the lead on the stroke of half time, but Aleksandar Mitrovic equalised for the home team on 83 minutes.

Allardyce has taken to Twitter to show his gratitude to the Sunderland supporters for cheering on the team in the Tyne-Wear derby.

Sunderland were the better team on Sunday afternoon and would have won had they taken their chances.

The Black Cats took 14 shots of which only four were on target and created nine chances.

Allardyce’s message on Twitter to Sunderland fans is really touching, and shows just how much he cares about them.

The Englishman is certainly going to do all he can to make sure that Sunderland retain their Premier League status next season.
